All I can say is WOW... that guy has got to be a law student or he really had a bone to pick.. I think this situation strikes really close to home and as a Christian, I don't know how many times I've had to defend myself and what I believe in, to the point that I stop making references to Christianity at all. There are just too many things about me that needs explaining and one question always leads to another..
Reading his post, he also gets a few things wrong but then again I'm not going to jump in to correct him. There is an explanation for some the things he brings up and for the others I also accept that there are some things I can't explain. Considering what kind of person I am, to be able to believe regardless goes against my nature but the point is, I do. There will never be an end to the debate regarding Christianity.
I know this is not my battle, but it affects me because it comes real close, and one day I just might have to deal with the same situation. Basically I don't have a choice either way regardless of who I'm with. Both sides pose their own problems and I'm painfully aware of the a difficult choice I might have to make in a few years time.
I think the converted experience provides a whole lot more support then growing up believing. For one, I'm more prone to doubt and questioning myself then my parents who were converts are. Being me, there isn't a thing the atheists bring up which I haven't thought of before, or tried to rationalize and explain. But I remember a promise I made a long time ago and I'm in this for life no matter what..
Which leads me to think there really is so much you don't know yet..
