Today's visit to OCS rocked.. Too short in my opinion but ohwell. Somehow now I get the feeling that army is just like one of our camps.. just longer.. or at least thats the impression they want us to have ^^
Toured the Warriors Hall first and took a look at weapons and the uniforms. Lynn and I had no interest in all the other uniforms except the first white one XD
The guy in the white uniform looked so good.. then we moved on and realised that ok.. maybe not ALL guys in uniform look good.. but the white uniform does look so hot ;P
We moved on to the shooting range where we got to try a firing a SAR21. It' supposed to be light but some of the girls had trouble keeping it up.. The targets are so easy to hit though.. they should put them further away ^^ Then two of us got to fire the General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) (kinda sounds like a household product) which is a WHOLE LOT heavier and needed to be propped up by a tripod.

Then they brought us to an LT where they gave us a demonstration of a night raid. Pretty cool except we were all dying from the smell of gunpowder after that. The night vision equipment is pretty cool ^^

We had to head off after that but our guide was nice and let us detour to the rations station. The food now is mostly commercial except for the main meal which is vaccum packed. They taste nice.. but I don't think its sufficient for guys, espcially when they are active all day.. I mean my brother eats a hell more then that even when he's lazing around all day o.0

Anyway besides us, ACS IB was also there.. managed to say hi to Kevin, Jono and Darren although I didn't manage to see the rest.. Somehow in our uniform we felt like sec school kids as compared to the others.. I have no idea why.. and our level is so small compared to ACS..

So back to school where I had to present my work in our art critique for my final grade. I'm quite relieved although I find Mr Yang to be more critical of our work then Ms Ching. He has no qualms about spitting out the honest truth rather then pussyfoot around the issue. We also had an external examiner, Ms Heng whom we met at our Art opening. I guess they are right, that I shouldn't pre-filter my work when I show it to them. But I don't want to show them work which I feel is sub-standard. Ok maybe it's just my perfectionist attitude speaking but they seem to feel that what I term as experimental is good enough to go into my file as well o.0

Ohwell.. overall I'm quite proud of my work. Now I have to chiong for Art History sigh..
